Recreational Pilots Licence 

Is your aim to fly for fun or travel?

We also offer flight training. Getting a recreational pilots licence is the answer. Sport aircraft are one of the most popular forms of recreational aviation. With some aircraft you can travel at a leisurely 60 knots to the faster aircraft that travel at 130 knots, there are many types that will suit any pilot. To get a recreational pilots licence it is less complex than a PPL.

Requirements

1. 20 hrs min flight instruction
2. theory tests
3. Basic medical, same as drivers licence
4. After solo you need to do 5 hrs solo consolidation under the supervision of an instructor
5. With this certificate you are only able to fly solo and fly a distance of 25 Nm,
    (50 kms) from your departure point

5hrs min flight instruction, with 2 hrs-supervised solo

Medical Requirements 

The medical requirement to hold an RAA pilot certificate is the same as to hold a motor vehicle licence in Australia. Recreational pilot certificate is issued to sport aviation enthusiasts with the limitation being, two seat aircraft having a maximum take off weight of 544Kg.

Endorsements

Passenger carrying endorsement- allows you to carry 1 passenger
Cross-country endorsement - allows you to fly anywhere in Australia, outside controlled airspace.
